I got a lot of work done Today

It is interesting how little work we get done especially on projects that we have lazy about. I find it interesting that today i have managed to post more blog posts that i would have postponed to later dates. I managed to not only write them down but it get them published i feel good about this and I am even going on to do a whole lot more before i sleep hopefully tomorrow will be even more productive.

Hopefully Content on My Productivity would continue in the coming week.

My thought on the 21st May 2011 doomsday prediction that never happened

It is interesting how things went down for this group. They had so much believe that something was going to happen. That some people were going to be raptured and that mankind had to change their lives.

My personal Reaction

Personally my initial reaction to the whole situation was not to be bothered about the whole prediction. I was not too bothered but I will have to be honest I gave some respect to that prediction. I personally thought that if it did happen it would be foolish not to have believed it. I am a Christian and I do believe in the rapture and the end of the world where the maker of this universe will judge every one, and only those who have been found to be righteous will make it into heaven. I also have my own personal thoughts about the rapture and what Jesus Christ said about it. I know very well that Jesus teaches his followers to continue to work until the day he comes back to Judge and as a result Christians are to live everyday like it could be the last day of the lives but should not stop going on about their daily lives. It is remarkable to here about some who believed in this preacher and decided to sell their belonging instead of going about their normal business but just living according to the commandments that God had set for his people. For me there was nothing wrong with predicting it.

Some annoying reactions.

I was not really following people’s reaction to this prediction online but I was listening to Aljezeera during the day when I realized something about some people’s reaction to the whole prediction. Some people interviewed on the streets said that they didn’t believe it but one guys reaction whish struck me was when he said he felt everyone who believed in the prediction was stupid. Also some of the TV presenters seemed to be mocking the preacher. I felt that was quite naïve and wrong to sit down and mock someone who made such a prediction.

I think this kind of reaction was wrong for the following reason. In the first place the preacher and his followers and all those who were predicting the end of the world I feel were really good people at heart. Those guys who you saw on your tv holding signs and warning people to change their ways have done nothing wrong . they were not doing it for their personal gained they wanted to do their best to help people to change their ways and avoid suffering for their sinful lives. If you neighbor came to you warning you that he had here’d that there was danger nearby and asked that to be very careful just as he was going to be careful in order to avoid the danger he was talking about what could be wrong with that. It doesn’t make sense to take time to bash someone who believes that giving a certain advice could help save someone’s life so long as that person doesn’t force you to take implement his advice.

All those who went out preaching the worlds end did it not out of selfish reasons but as a result of being selfless. I thing we should look at that instead of criticizing them for getting it wrong.

My Productivity Tools

Obviously this is going to be the first thing on my list of productivity tools the laptop from which I am writing at the moment.

You might ask why I would talk about this in the first place but the truth is that most people do not realize something about getting a laptop or a portable computer it is really an essential some would say why not get yourself a desktop. Laptops are a little too much of a luxury. I will tell you stop right there and go get one. You might be thinking of getting a laptop with the latest and newest of specifications or even a Mac. Well to me that is not really important. There are laptops that you could get for less than 300 dollars with specification good enough to meet your computing needs. Most software that you need for productivity can easily run on a laptop with a speed of 1.6 ghz and with a memory of 1ghz minimum should be 512 mb of memory. With the hard disk 60gig and above would do. A laptop with these kind of specifications wouldn’t be expensive and it is worth the effort. If you are still on a desktop which I think is a great tool I still recommend that you get a yourself a laptop and get moving from then on. It is totally worth it. I have had one for the last 5 and half years and I have loved it ever since.

Well if you are not yet convinced I will leave it to you, there really is nothing wrong with getting something portable plus the tools I have use would work on any PC for those of you who use Mac most of them have versions that are compatible with the Mac.

By this time some would say why don’t you just go ahead and list the applications all of us have PC’s otherwise we wouldn’t be able to read the blog.

Lets take things one at time and we would get there. First things First, get your self a computer preferably a laptop and then we can move on from there.

MY PRODUCTIVITY TOOLS

I am sure you would realize by now if you are on this earth the importance of having certain tools around you that just ensures that you get things done. Certain electronic gadgets that ensure that you stay on top of things since not all of us can hire personal assistants who should take care of other tasks while you get the work done. if you are not sure what I am talking about it is the simple productivity tools that make life simpler (not always and if you don't know how to use them).

I have to be honest about how much work productivity tool help me to accomplish in a day. They really help me a great deal. To Blog connect with different social links it really is amazing the things that you can get done much faster with tech tools.

In the next few posts I would review a couple of these tools that I have used over the past years and share with you what I like and dislike about some of these tools.

Moment of Laziness

I had a moment of laziness during the week where I found myself helplessly falling into a mode of laziness.

I am not sure if you have had some of those. It gets really annoying usually starting from a previous day of exhaustion and insufficient rest. From that moment on anything that looks like work is easily rejected and the main excuse is to get more rest for yourself. Usually your desire to get more rest results in procrastination and all tasks that need to be taken care of in that moment are relegated to another time. I was nearly at the brink of destroying my week but luckily for me I picked up some courage and decided at the last minute to do as much as I could. I succeeded in bringing some sanity to the situation and hopefully this should pay off handsomely. I didn’t finish one important task though, but I should clear that one by the end of the night. Right now I am dealing with one of them which is writing a blog post for the readers of this blog and hopefully if I do not slip up this week I could find myself in a position to really smash this week with the best performance I have had in years. If I could increase my writing and finish reading some articles which are piling up on me I would be in a better place both physically and mentally.

Well these are some of the daily battles you have to fight sometimes you just j=have to dig deep into yourself and find the strength to continue with the tasks that lie ahead you would definitely feel better at the end.
